Yo all, I'm off blogger for a while - I just need the time so I will not be checking other blogs (I'm so sorry) or blogging here (Jare will be blogging at RJD though - so you can head over there if you want). I don't think I will be gone long - just for me to get caught up on school, bass lessons, goat herding, barn building, writing, and finally but not least - painting. I am in a very painty mood - as well as sketching (so until I get back you can look forward to them).

Lovely Mushrooms

Personally I really do like sketching mushrooms... don't ask me why because I won't know the answer. (maybe it's because their cute and yet some times deadly at the same time...naw!)

And this is a series of them that I did (in the middle is a dried Huckleberrie branch). I am quite happy with it.

So fun to sketch and to paint and all that other good stuff (even though I still can't stand the taste of them! *gag* But I'm trying to get over it... slowly).
There's something about them that just makes you smile, or turns a frown upside down!


So go out there and do something with a mushroom! (I mean it...)

Moon and Sea Scene

My very first shot at acrylics...not all that happy with it but a good first try eh? Its the moon, reflecting on the sea with a dark piece of land in the background. (btw, I think my paints were much to watered down...oops)
