Inktober Day One - Four!

Inktober is upon us again! So crazy to me how fast this year is flying by.

I've known since July that I want to participate in Inktober, but I didn't want to do what I did last year, which was just do a ink drawing of whatever random thing I happened to think of last minute and stress over not being able to use color (which I have a love-hate relationship). So I began to think about what I could focus on (this was before Jake Parker released the Inktober 2016 prompts btw, I probably would have done them too), and as I was watching/listening, while doing the cat's litter box, to the Artist/Illustrator/Youtuber Fran Meneses who was discussing how for inktober she takes a not well known fairy tale and illustrates her interpretation of it in her unique style. I loved that idea! But, I decided, instead of fairy tales, I would go through my beloved bookshelf, and find the top 31 favorite fiction books, from my childhood up until know and do a 4x6 inspired illustration of them as my personal challenge.

Failed and art dump update

Ga my gosh.

I'll never get good at this blogging thing again. 2009 was my year of constant blogging it would seem (but no links to that, as I was verrry young *shudders*)

But enough of that, onto sketchy crap painting art dump!

If you are interested in my (nearly) daily uploading of this kind of thing to the social meds, check out my public Instagram or Tumblr, I find it a little more chill and less daunting over on those. ;)
