Sweet dog, stay with us

Reignie, I love you, you silly, silly dog. Please - don't go.

Reignie, my five-year-old puppy (she's super hyper usually) has been diagnosed with Salmon Poisoning - which is usually fatal in dogs. I had to search for two hours to find her in our woods, she had just gone away to die she felt so awful, wouldn't respond (I had passed her four times and she didn't say a peep). She is now at a animal hospitable for treatment. The vet said he is hopeful but that there could be complication because we didn't catch it soon enough (she is in the close-to-danger zone).  Prayers would be appreciated, she's my best friend and an amazing listener.

Beware

Those who leave their Mac's in my fathers house will come back to something unexpected. As our friends The Wintons found out last week.

Friendship

Is it not amazing? How two (or more) people, in whatever walks and levels of life - sisters and brothers through Christ, can have friendships that are just awesome? It's inspiring.

Lërown is someone I can call my dear friend - and the quote (don't know who by) "God made us friends because he knew our mothers couldn't handle us as sisters" describes us greatly (or so I've heard from my mother). I've known Lërown nearly her whole life (we were neighbors back in the day) and she is just awesome. We also get along great, in that way that lots of people do, with opposites. She's outgoing, and I'm shy/quiet(-er. Not "super" though), and I just love her (and miss her!!! Even her annoying me to death by pinching my nose.=P)
So anyway - what I'm trying to say is - Go Check out her blog (after NaNo though - you could be a dear and follow her and write an encouraging comment for her writing!). Here at Purple Dreams (Is that not just a creative/fun title. I can't get over it!)
(btw. Isn't her purple hair awesome!? In the pic above, you can see her purple and can slightly see my red=)

I shall lamely title this as... "bookmark"

Medium: watercolor

"Libraries will get you through times of no money better then money will get you through times of no libraries"

That's the quote that I wrote on this bookmark (if you can't see it -really bad angle, so sorry), along with a detailed sketch of a dollar bill and a quarter and nickle. This was a very fun craft to do and even though it did take some time to sketch out the bill it was well worth the time. This was a gift for one of my dear, and library attending friends for her birthday. ... I think she liked it. =)

Well, I hope this encourages all of you artist out there, as well as writers (make some more quotes worthy of bookmarks!!!).

Jane Austin Period Style

Medium: Pencil Sketch
I did this sketch 2 years ago of a friend (who I won't name... but can you guess?) The picture I used is below. In the sketch, I started out as this friend...but I have never been good at actually getting the drawing to look like the subject, so I ended up saying I only was sketching the dress.
I gave it some "action" (i.e. shawl moving in a light breezes as well as ribbons), which I think goes of nicely.
The gown is a the Jane Austin period style(and the friend made it herself! Is she not talented?).

I don't mind criticism...even though this was done a few years ago. =)
