Thought Provoking Tuesday
Why is it that the fruit, the Orange, is the color Orange?
Has anyone else ever thought about that?
Was the fruit named after the color or the color named after the fruit?
As Davy Keith from L.M.Montgomery series of Anne would say:

I shall lamely title this as... "bookmark"
Medium: watercolor
"Libraries will get you through times of no money better then money will get you through times of no libraries"
"Libraries will get you through times of no money better then money will get you through times of no libraries"
That's the quote that I wrote on this bookmark (if you can't see it -really bad angle, so sorry), along with a detailed sketch of a dollar bill and a quarter and nickle. This was a very fun craft to do and even though it did take some time to sketch out the bill it was well worth the time. This was a gift for one of my dear, and library attending friends for her birthday. ... I think she liked it. =)
Well, I hope this encourages all of you artist out there, as well as writers (make some more quotes worthy of bookmarks!!!).

An Explanation
"I meant to do my work today-
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
and a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went singing over the land
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
and a rainbow held out it's shining hand-
So what could I do but laugh and go?"
~Richard LeGallienne
...for those of you who were wondering why I wasn't posting much, or nothing really worthy of much noticed -The above poem explains it nicely.
You may not see much of me in the next few weeks or months - with rising ducks, preparing for our kidding season, and trying to finish three months worth of school in, well... one and a half. *wry grin* It shall be a challange to find the time to blog - forgive me!
