Work in progress

(I've updated this project further, see here)

Medium: HB pencil

This is a work in progress (as you already gathered from the title of this post, and most likely looking at my little, unfinished sketch. Also, this is really, really blurry and bland looking, that would be the 7yo cameras falt), I want to go farther with it and add some background to it, as well as complete her hand... any ideas of what I can do with it? I'm thinking now her hand can be touching something (tree... reaching for the sky...)... Something like that. Happy Sketches everyone!

Up Date:
Reignie is on the mend, starting to look like herself again. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. They are working.

I like this. The way her skirt is blowing is great.

Maybe some leaves blowing around like her clothes? It's beautiful as is.

i think this is a wonderful sketch, overflowing with feeling.
since you asked for suggestions, when i look at her, i see her above.... above the earth looking down on something, most likely not what you were thinking.

Wow! That is amazing! You need to sell your sketches, I would buy them.

@ Christine: I luve the idea of leaves, thanks!

@ Tammie Lee: I actually did have that in mind, her above and looking down. I was picturing a cliff or mountain, her something of an guardian watching over a town/city. But how to convey those words to spell out in pictures... tis the challenge.

Thanks again everyone for the encouragement!

she doesn't look bland at all. i love how you've captured the windblown look and the folds of her dress.

She's a beauty. You have me wondering what she's looking at... is it perhaps something glinting in a pool at her feet? It's definitely something magical cause she looks like she belongs in a fairy tale!
